Reflections - Book Design

In their study of Islamic contribution, art historians have largely overlooked glass making and glass craft. Surprising since by the seventh century ad, glassmaking had a history of more than two millennia and was a flourishing craft in Egypt and Western Asia. Using techniques developed over thousands of years, Islamic glass production from the seventh to the fourteenth century was a superior art form and produced spectacular results. 

‘Reflections’, written and photographed by Bahraini writer, Dr. Ali Follad explores this traditional art of glass making in the Arab World. Miracle designed and produced the book, which is part of Dr. Ali Follad’s trilogy after ‘Mosaic’ and ‘Earthworks’ books.
