The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2011 and needed a refreshed visual identity that would reflect the path of a 35 year old institution moving quickly into the future. “Looking forward, 2011 is a pivotal year for the shipyard as regards its future. We are entering our 35th year of operation and nearing the successful completion of our US$ 188 million facility expansion programme, which will make us even more competitive in a fast changing market,” said Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, ASRY’s Chairman. The existing logo and typography had become outdated and needed to be refreshed to breathe new life into the brand for the 21st Century. The Miracle team worked collaboratively with ASRY staff in an intensive research and engagement phase. The synthesis of this material led us t o a fresh, clean and modern Ar abic and Latin visual identity with typography reflecting ASRY’s heritage and it ’s international recognition and its status as a regional and global market leader in the shipbuilding industry.
